class=\"PaperParagraph\"><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Essential doctrines unify all protestants and have major impact on identifying genuine believers, i.e., calling them to be baptized and join the local congregations.\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-bbf50c4 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"bbf50c4\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<ul><li><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Essential doctrines are divided into three kinds, (1) salvation essentials, (2) a revelational essential, and (3) an interpretation essential.<\/span><\/strong><a href=\"#_ftn1\" name=\"_ftnref1\">[1]<\/a> These essential doctrines are of paramount importance that any deviation from which is unbiblical and may be considered heresy.<\/li><\/ul><p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><a href=\"#_ftnref1\" name=\"_ftn1\">[1]<\/a> Norman Geisler and Ron Rhodes. <em>Conviction without Compromise \u2013 Standing Strong in the Care Beliefs of the Christian Faith<\/em> (Eugene Oregon: Harvest House Publishers, 2008), 9-13.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-7bac17f elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"7bac17f\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h4 style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">1. Salvation essentials<\/span><\/strong><\/h4><ul><li>The following essential doctrines make salvation possible in three stages. The first stage is \u201csalvation from the penalty of sin.\u201d<a href=\"#_ftn1\" name=\"_ftnref1\">[2]<\/a> It is related to a believer\u2019s justification which includes eleven essential doctrines:<\/li><\/ul><ol><li style=\"list-style-type: none;\"><ol><li><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">God\u2019s unity<\/span><\/strong><\/li><li><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">God\u2019s Tri-unity<\/span><\/strong><\/li><li><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Christ\u2019s deity<\/span><\/strong><\/li><li><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Christ\u2019s humanity<\/span><\/strong><\/li><li><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Human depravity<\/span><\/strong><\/li><li><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Christ\u2019s virgin birth<\/span><\/strong><\/li><li><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Christ\u2019s sinlessness<\/span><\/strong><\/li><li><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Christ\u2019s atoning death<\/span><\/strong><\/li><li><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Christ\u2019s bodily resurrection<\/span><\/strong><\/li><li><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">The necessity of grace<\/span><\/strong><\/li><li><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">The necessity of faith<\/span><\/strong><\/li><\/ol><\/li><\/ol><ul><li>The second stage is \u201csalvation from the power of sin.\u201d<a href=\"#_ftn2\" name=\"_ftnref2\">[3]<\/a> It is related to a believer\u2019s sanctification which includes two essential doctrines:<\/li><\/ul><ol><li style=\"list-style-type: none;\"><ol><li><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Christ\u2019s bodily ascension<\/span><\/strong><\/li><li><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Christ\u2019s priestly intercession<\/span><\/strong><\/li><\/ol><\/li><\/ol><ul><li>The third stage is \u201csalvation from the presence of sin.\u201d<a href=\"#_ftn3\" name=\"_ftnref3\">[4]<\/a> <strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">It is related to a believer\u2019s glorification which includes one essential doctrine pertaining to Christ\u2019s bodily second coming.<\/span><\/strong><\/li><li>If any self-proclaimed Christian group\u2019s beliefs contradict or reject any of the above fourteen essential doctrines, such group should be considered heretical.<\/li><\/ul><h4 style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>2. A revelational essential<\/strong><\/span><\/h4><p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">The second kind of essential is a revelational essential which deals with the source of the knowledge that makes believers aware of salvation. Though inspiration and inerrancy of Scripture are not part of God\u2019s plan of salvation one must believe to be saved, \u201cit is the necessary God-ordained source for our knowing about the salvation essentials one must believe to be saved.\u201d<a href=\"#_ftn4\" name=\"_ftnref4\">[5]<\/a><\/p><h4 style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>3. An interpretation essential<\/strong><\/span><\/h4><p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">The third kind of essential is an interpretation essential. Literal and historical-grammatical interpretation of Scripture is \u201cthe essential method that makes all the doctrinal essentials possible.\u201d<a href=\"#_ftn5\" name=\"_ftnref5\">[6]<\/a> Non-literal interpretations of Scripture \u201chistorically and logically lead to heresy and unorthodoxy.\u201d<a href=\"#_ftn6\" name=\"_ftnref6\">[7]<\/a><\/p><h4 style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>4. <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">(See Evangelical Christianity defined below)<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/li><\/ul><p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><a href=\"#_ftnref1\" name=\"_ftn1\">[1] \u00a0<\/a>Norman Geisler and Ron Rhodes. <em>Conviction without Compromise \u2013 Standing Strong in the Care Beliefs of the Christian Faith<\/em> (Eugene Oregon: Harvest House Publishers, 2008), 9-13.<\/p><ul><li>Today the word \u201ccult\u201d gives rise to either sociological or theological meaning. Ron Rhodes states that sociological cult\u2019s characteristics include such things as authoritarianism, exclusivism, isolationism, fear of disfellowshipping, and threats of satanic attack.<a href=\"#_ftn1\" name=\"_ftnref1\">[2]<\/a> In the case of CAG, it certainly has exhibited some cult like sociological characteristics even though it is often identified as a religious cult of Christianity. According to Rhodes, cults of Christianity often manifest one or more of the following characteristics: (1) a new revelation from God, (2) a denial of the sole authority of the Bible, (3) a distorted view of God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit, (4) a distorted view of humankind, (5) redefinitions of biblical terms, and\/or (6) a denial of salvation by grace through faith.<a href=\"#_ftn2\" name=\"_ftnref2\">[3]<\/a> If a group originated from the parent religion of Christianity but denies one or more of the essential doctrines of Christianity, this group should be identified as a Christian cult.<a href=\"#_ftn3\" name=\"_ftnref3\">[4]<\/a><\/li><\/ul><p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><a href=\"#_ftnref1\" name=\"_ftn1\">[2]<\/a> Ron Rhodes. <em>Find It Quick \u2013 Handbook on Cults &amp; New Religions<\/em> (Eugene Oregon: Harvest House, 2005), 7-13.<\/p><p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><a href=\"#_ftnref2\" name=\"_ftn2\">[3]<\/a> Ibid.<\/p><p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><a href=\"#_ftnref3\" name=\"_ftn3\">[4]<\/a> Ibid., 9.<\/p><ul><li><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Evangelical Christianity Defined<\/span><\/strong><\/li><\/ul><p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Most Christians today are self-identified as evangelicals. Evangelical Christianity is gospel centered which means \u201cwhatever is contrary to the gospel of Jesus Christ is to be rejected as heresy.\u201d<a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"#_ftn1\" name=\"_ftnref1\">[5]<\/a> However, evangelical Protestants also believe that the Bible alone is the inspired Word of God as the only infallible standard for faith and practices in all church matters. Furthermore, evangelicals embrace the orthodox teaching with respect to the Trinity and the incarnation of Jesus Christ and reject any doctrine that contradicts what the church as a whole has regarded as essential to the Christian faith.<\/span><\/p><p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"#_ftnref1\" name=\"_ftn1\">[5]<\/a> Rob M. Did God change His characters since 1991? <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cag.clearthinking247.com\/god-does-not-change\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">(See God does not change)<\/a><\/li><li>In the Old Testament (OT), though the Law of Moses were put in place to guard and guide the Israelites, the salvation of God&#8217;s people was unequivocally by grace through faith beginning in the Book of Genesis as revealed in God&#8217;s covenant made with Abraham. In the New Testament (NT), God became flesh (as revealed in Jesus Christ) to pay the ultimate sacrifice as the atonement and redemption once for all. Those who repent and put their faith (total trust) in The Lord Jesus Christ are saved eternally. Why would the same God change the means by which for all people to get saved (from faith to works) in the last days (since 1991)?\u00a0<\/li><li>Since there are so many doctrinal differences (as documented on this website) between the Church of Almighty God and evangelical Christianity especially on the essentials, is the God of the Church of Almighty God the same God as the OT and NT Scriptures?
